Survey

I sent out a survey to my fellow classmates to fill out, which would give me a visualization of where they stand in getting the correct amount of sleep, how often they eat breakfast, and how much they exercise. Overall, many would agree that their diet plays an important role in their mood. 73% of people reported that eating -and their diet in general- affects their mood. Most of the responses which agreed with the question came from people who ate breakfast everyday, and reported having a balanced diet.

One statistic which was surprising showed that around half(73%)of students received 7 hours of sleep or more.

Why this is important

A lot of students show up to school already in a bad mood and blame it on school. While that may be 99% of the reason, there could be other factors contributing to your upsetting feelings, such as a lack of exercise, not getting enough sleep, or not having anything for breakfast. All three of these factors help regulate your mood, keep your physical and mental health stable, and help you function like a normal human-being. It may be hard to stay on track with your eating, sleeping, and exercising goals, but each day that you keep at it will get easier.
